Poetry Bridging Continents V: Gort, Co. Galway, Ireland
May 15-19
Meg will be one of a small contingent of New Hampshire writers participating in this cultural exchange between American, Irish, and Chinese poets. Sponsored by the Yeats Thoor Ballylee Society, “Poetry Bridging Continents” features symposium presentations, poetry readings, workshops, guided tours, an Irish & Chinese tea ceremony, and plenty of Irish music!
Also coming this May:
Meg’s new interview with Gayle C. Heney, host of the cable TV program “Write Now”, will air this May in Haverhill, Andover, North Andover, Methuen, and Lawrence, Massachusetts. In this return visit to the show, Meg will be having a discussion with Gayle about Meg’s new heroic crown of sonnets, Cardiac Thrill. A veteran interviwer, Gayle is a fellow writer and two-term Poet Laureate of North Andover. To quote Write Now’s website: the show “showcases authors who have successfully published a book in today’s rapidly changing publishing environment with the goal of encouraging viewers to write.” Heney has been producing Write Now since 1999.
